County Board Approves Altadena Road Construction

The county will be repaving and doing curb and gutter work on multiple streets in the central area of Altadena centered around New York Drive.

The County Board of Supervisors approved allocating funds for a road construction project for multiple blocks in the Southcentral part of Altadena on Tuesday.

The work, which was , involves repaving, curb and gutter repair, and replacement of speed bumps on streets on streets in neighborhoods surrounding the intersection of Holliston Avenue and New York Drive.

The county estimates the total work will cost between $800,000 and $1.2 million and will help prevent storm water pollution.

The work is expected to take four months of county officials have warned there may be short periods when people's driveways are blocked.

  • Atchison, 410 feet west of Mar Vista Avenue to Mar Vista
  • Calaveras - Holliston to Hill
  • El Corto Drive - Holliston to 255 east of Holliston
  • Hill - New York to Calaveras
  • Holliston - Mendocino to Altadena
  • Lexington - 400 feet west of Michigan to Holliston
  • Maiden Lane - Mendocino to Altadena
