County Shelters Discounting Pet Adoption This Weekend
From Friday to Sunday county and city of Los Angeles shelters will offer big discounts on pet adoption.
Shelters run by the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Control and several other public shelters in Southern California are offering discounted pet adoptions this weekend.
The program is called Mega Match-a-thon and event participants have the goal of doubling the number of adoptions from the same event last year. The program runs starting Friday and goes through Sunday.
Included in the group of shelters running the program is the Baldwin Park shelter at 4275 Elton Street, which is the closest county facility to Altadena, and is where Animal Control brings animals found in Altadena.
