Fights Emerge at Pasadena Apple Store
Many people were waiting in line for the release of the latest iPhone.

What began as a morning of anticipation for people waiting outside an Apple store turned violent today when tensions grew and a fight broke out, leading to two people being cited.
The crowd outside the store at 54 W. Colorado Blvd. was peppered with homeless people who were brought to the store and paid to stand in line by a man who said he wanted to purchase multiple new-model iPhones and sell them at a markup.
Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said a fight between two people broke out shortly before 7:30 a.m., and officers struggled to break up the ruckus.

George Westbrook, 23, of Compton, and Lamar Mitchell, 43, of Pasadena, were cited for "public fighting" and were released, Clawson said. Neither man was hurt.
