Episcopal Communities & Services and DPR Construction confirmed that construction will begin Sept. 30 for the new MonteCedro retirement community to take the place of the former Scripps home in Altadena.
An official groundbreaking ceremony will be Sept. 26 for the project that was slated to be completed in 2015.
ECS also announced that DPR Construction and Darco Engineering have completed the deconstruction of the homes along Crawford Avenue and exceeded Los Angeles County’s recyclable material goal for the project, recycling about 1,300 tons of material.
