The History of the Altadena Sheriff's Station

An officer will be giving a public lecture on the history of the station between 1927 and 1950 on January 23.

Sgt. John Stanley, who has a master's degree in history from Cal State Fullerton, will address the Altadena Historical Society will tell "anecdotes, crime details, and colorful stories" about the tenure of the six captains who served at the station during those 23 years.

The lecture will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Altadena Community Center on January 23 and is open to the public.
