• BART Fares, Parking Rates To Increase Soon (patch.com) — If you ride BART from Antioch, prepare to pay more starting Jan. 1, when fares rise 6.2% and an Antioch-to-Montgomery trip will cost about 55 cents extra. Parking at many stations will also increase, as BART tries to close a major budget gap and keep trains running despite a looming “fiscal cliff.”
   

• Botched Grow House Break-In Leads To Wild Chase, 3 Crashes And 10 Arrests (patch.com) — A man listed as being from Antioch is among several suspects arrested after an alleged burglary at a cannabis grow facility near Salinas led to multiple crashes and a police chase. Monterey County authorities say nine people, including a juvenile, face burglary and related charges after officers stopped three of four fleeing vehicles.
