RTC Approves Interim Trail on Santa Cruz Rail Line After Contentious Vote (goodtimes.sc) β€” A major transportation decision will bring an interim bike and pedestrian trail along the rail corridor from Santa Cruz to State Park Drive in Aptos, protecting a key $96 million state grant. The RTC’s close vote keeps future passenger rail options alive while aiming to open the corridor sooner for local walkers and cyclists.

PG&E drones to inspect Central Coast power lines ahead of winter storms (ksbw.com) β€” PG&E will be flying inspection drones over Aptos and other Santa Cruz County communities in the next three weeks to photograph power lines before winter storms hit.
