Cremated Ashes Stolen in Arcadia

resident Lynn Merchant had planned to scatter her husband's ashes Saturday in Las Vegas to commemorate his birthday.

But a thief put a kink in those plans when he stole a portion of Bob Merchant's ashes from a rental car parked in the driveway of the couple's home, KABC 7 reported.

In the end, Lynn Merchant took the remainder of the ashes to Sin City, and, with the help of her husband's closest friends, scattered them.
