Authorities said Brewster punched one officer in the face and choked the other during the confrontation shortly after 3 p.m. last July 6.

The two officers -- who had been responding to calls about a man loitering and disturbing customers in front of a business in the 400 block of East Huntington Drive -- suffered “visible injuries” and were taken to a nearby hospital before being released a few hours later, according to police.
