Police Looking for Day Care Center Auto Burglary Suspects
Brian Gilbert Renteria and Jerry Angelino Ristich are accused of breaking into vehicles parked at day care centers while the vehicles' owners went inside to pick up or drop off children.
Two men suspected of stealing from parked vehicles at day care centers across the San Gabriel Valley -- including at least one in Arcadia -- are targets of Monterey Park police.
Brian Gilbert Renteria and Jerry Angelino Ristich, both 25 and residents of Monterey Park, are accused of breaking into vehicles parked at day care centers while the vehicles' owners went inside to pick up or drop off children.
"[The suspects stole] designer purses and car keys," Lt. Carrie Mazelin of the Monterey Park Police Department told Patch, adding that Monterey Park Police reclaimed items taken from at least one Arcadia vehicle.

According to the Arcadia Police Department blotter, an auto burglary occurred Feb. 8 at the All Seasons Children's Learning Center at 2612 S. Baldwin Ave. in Arcadia.
The suspects are considered armed and dangerous, police say.

Renteria, a parolee at large who is suspected of the Arcadia robbery, is described as 6-foot-2, 230 to 300 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He has the letters “SSG” tattooed on the right side of his face and may be staying at various San Gabriel Valley motels.
Ristich is described as 5-foot-9, 190 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
Police have impounded the suspects' vehicle, a silver 1999 Dodge Durango. Inside the vehicle were several designer brand purses, wallets and keys to luxury automobiles.
