Here's why (sanluisobispo.com) — A heavy police and SWAT presence on Spruce Street in Arroyo Grande Wednesday stemmed from a felony investigation led by San Luis Obispo police, who served a search warrant at a home there. Authorities say there’s no current threat to the community and clarified that no ICE or other federal agents were involved, despite some residents’ concerns.

She’s promoting a platform of “radical transparency,” stricter voting rules, and opposition to mail-in ballots, while insisting the charges are politically motivated and that she complied with city and state candidacy requirements.
   

4. SLO County nonprofit aims to deliver 1,000 holiday gifts to seniors (ksby.com) — Arroyo Grande seniors at Arroyo Grande Care Center are set to receive holiday gifts and a festive party next Tuesday thanks to the Senior Angels of the Central Coast. The nonprofit is working to deliver 1,000 presents to older adults across San Luis Obispo County, with local businesses serving as donation drop-off spots and residents invited to give through an online wishlist or monetary contributions.

Two Suspects Arrested on Robbery, Firearm Charges After Pismo Beach Shoplifting Incident (crimevoice.com) — Arroyo Grande police officers helped Pismo Beach authorities track down two suspects after a late-night shoplifting incident at a 7-Eleven escalated when a handgun was reportedly displayed. The suspects were later arrested in downtown Pismo Beach and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on robbery, firearm, and drug-related charges, with two associated women interviewed and released.
