• NTSB investigation: pipeline that exploded near Hayward installed in 1940s (kentucky.com) — Federal investigators say the PG&E gas pipeline that exploded on East Lewelling Boulevard in unincorporated Ashland dates back to the 1940s and was recently damaged during road construction. The blast triggered a three-alarm neighborhood fire and injured six people, and NTSB teams will remain on scene for several days before issuing a full report on what went wrong.
