• Investigators arrest Roseville man as arson suspect in Placer County wildfires (sacbee.com) — An alleged arsonist has been arrested in connection with five August wildfires that burned in the Ophir area, just west of Auburn in Placer County. Investigators from Cal Fire and the Sheriff’s Office say the case is still active and are asking anyone with photos, video, or other information about those fires to contact them, with anonymous tips accepted.
