Baldwin Park Resident Arrested in Casino Credit Card Scam

He was arrested with others at the Pala Casino in Northern San Diego County on Saturday.

Authorities in San Diego's North County arrested a Baldwin Park man and five others in connection with a counterfeit credit card ring at an Indian casino.

Dan David Enriquez, 27, was arrested Saturday morning for alleged fraud by security guards at the Pala Casino, according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Darryl Kimball.

Also arrested were Josephine Chai, 27, from Hacienda Heights;Tracy Ser and Keith Shigetomi, both 34 and from Rowland Heights; Sarah Howbert, 26, from Chino, and Ali Qadir Aljadir, 33, of Los Angeles.

All were arrested on suspicion of multiple counts of commercial burglary and charges related to theft with an access card and possession of forged credit cards. Each suspect was held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Deputies discovered their involvement in what was described as a very active crew of counterfeiters, who allegedly manufacture fraudulent and fake credit cards and use stolen, or compromised credit card information to take out large cash advances from San Diego area casinos.

Authorities also accuse the suspects of employing an elaborate scam involving ATM cash advance machines and the casino cashier.

The crew was reportedly very active the past two months at casinos in the San Diego area, allegedly conducting multiple fraudulent transactions at those locations.
