1 Person Killed In 60 Freeway Crash

JURUPA VALLEY, CA — At least one person was killed and another was injured in a multi-vehicle collision on the Riverside (60) Freeway in Jurupa Valley, authorities said Friday.

Officers from the Riverside California Highway Patrol responded at 9 p.m. Thursday to the eastbound side of the freeway near Country Village Road, where they found the damaged vehicles and the victims, a CHP spokesman told City News Service.

One victim, whose name, gender and age was not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.

The crash cause was under investigation by the CHP.
