SAN JACINTO, CA — On Friday, Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigators looking into the illegal sale of firearms to criminal street gang members served a warrant in San Jacinto, recovering a large number of weapons.

Vaughn Gray Jr., 48, of San Jacinto, was arrested at the home. Vaughn Gray III, 28, of Blythe, was also arrested during the incident. Both were booked into the Southwest Detention Center on Friday and were released on bond Saturday. According to jail records, they were expected to answer charges on May 16, though no court location has yet been revealed.

The gang task force team arrived to serve the warrant in the 600 block of Hummingbird Drive in San Jacinto as part of this ongoing investigation, which has been ongoing since January. The Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force (GTF)—Region 6 began the investigation, and the San Jacinto Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant at the Hummingbird Drive home, according to Sgt. Miguel Ramos.
