2 Men Killed In Moreno Valley Crash ID'd By Coroner
The deadly crash was reported at the intersection of Ironwood Avenue and Heacock Street.
MORENO VALLEY, CA — Two people who were killed in a two-vehicle crash last week in Moreno Valley have been identified by the coroner.
Ancelmo Sanchez, 39, of Perris, and Luis Lopez, 31, of Moreno Valley, were identified as those killed in the crash reported at 11:07 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at the intersection of Ironwood Avenue and Heacock Street.
Deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station arrived at the crash scene and found an Infinity and a Mercedes involved in the wreck, authorities said.

A passenger in the Mercedes — Sanchez — suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers from both vehicles and a passenger from the Infinity were all taken to a hospital to be treated for serious injuries, authorities said.

The collision caused the Mercedes to be pushed into two pedestrians standing on the sidewalk. One of the pedestrians — Lopez — was taken to Riverside University Health System Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries; the second pedestrian was not injured, according to authorities.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident was asked to contact Deputy Kevin Seguin of the Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station at 951-486-6700.
