3 Critically Injured In Riverside Wrong Way Crash

Five people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Riverside, authorities said.

Three people were critically injured and two others suffered minor to moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Riverside this morning on the Riverside (91) Freeway, which authorities said was triggered by a wrong way motorist.

RIVERSIDE, CA — Three people were critically injured and two others suffered minor to moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Riverside this morning on the Riverside (91) Freeway, which authorities said was triggered by a wrong way motorist.

Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 1:31 a.m. to the westbound freeway at La Sierra Avenue, the City of Riverside Fire Department reported.

Fire personnel reported that two vehicles sustained major damage and that both required extrication of occupants from their respective vehicles.

Three people suffered critical injuries. One person suffered moderate injuries and another person suffered minor injuries. All were transported to area hospitals.
