4th Annual Quickest Quacker Duck Derby to Benefit Pass Boys & Girls Clubs

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Gorgonio Pass are hosting their 4th Annual Quickest Quacker Duck Derby on Monday Sept. 9 on the Lazy River at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa.

Registration is at 5:30 p.m. and the event is scheduled 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. County Supervisor Marion Ashley will emcee the Duck Dudes Race, Amy Herr of the Pass Boys & Girls Clubs said.

Tickets are $50 per person and additional ducks can be purchased for $5 apiece. The grand prize is $500 cash, second prize is a Fun in the Sun Basket, and third prize is an Apple iPad, organizers said.

"Hawaiian/Tropical Attire" is recommended.

Proceeds from the event will support the Leaders of Tomorrow program for teens, Herr said.

"This helps our teens with goal setting and designing a plan for their lives post-high school," Herr said. "Our teens will also learn how to better plan for the future by participating in field trips to visit local colleges, trainings on the college application process and assistance with job hunting, completing applications and effective interviewing skills."

Morongo Casino Resort & Spa is at 49500 Seminole Drive, Cabazon.
