Flooding Closes These IE Roads Near Wrightwood, Cajon Pass
Floodwater has severely impacted Highway 2 and State Route 138.
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA — Major flooding has impacted San Bernardino County roadways in the area of Wrightwood and the 138 near the Cajon Pass at I-15, according to the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's and Fire Departments.
Caltrans District 8 reported an emergency closure between the I-15 interchange at Cajon Junction and Beekley Road, due to flooding.
"Seek alternate routes and avoid the area," they said over X, formerly Twitter.

Video from the scene shows floodwaters undermining a stretch of the roadway and dangerously tilting power or communication lines.

There are heavy debris flows and flooding in the area of Wrightwood, according to San Bernardino County Fire.

"Highway 2 is impassible," they said. The department has requested three additional engines, hand crews, a dozer and swift water rescue unit.
Meanwhile, fire department crews are assisting with evacuating homes that are being directly affected.
Please avoid the area.
