6 People Injured In Banning I-10 Crash

BANNING, CA — A crash Thursday afternoon along Interstate 10 in Banning resulted in injuries and a traffic jam.
The wreck was reported at 12:56 p.m. on the westbound freeway onramp at 22nd Street.
According to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the wreck involved a single vehicle. Four people sustained minor injuries and two others suffered moderate injuries. In total, five people were sent to a local hospital via ground ambulance.

Three of the victims were juveniles, according to preliminary information from the California Highway Patrol.
As of 3 p.m., traffic was moving in the area but it remained slow.
