Accused Drugged Driver Nabbed In Beaumont Hit-And-Run
Police say one person was arrested and one person was hospitalized in the incident.
BEAUMONT, CA — A Beaumont man was jailed Thursday on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, hitting another car and fleeing the scene. Travis Davon Dotson, 20, was arrested in the early morning hours after the injury crash, police tell Patch.
Police say they received a 911 call related to a hit-and-run in the 1300 block of Palm Avenue at 12:28 a.m.
After striking a white sedan in the area, the driver — eventually identified as Dotson — took off, police said. However, his vehicle was spotted a short time later in the area of 5th Street and Maple Avenue. Jail booking records indicate Dotson was arrested by 1:15 a.m. in that same location.
