Armed Suspect Killed In Beaumont Warrant Search: Cops
Authorities arrived at a Pass Area home on a search warrant this week and were met by the suspect, who brandished a firearm, officials say.

BEAUMONT, CA — Authorities who served a search warrant at a Beaumont home Monday shot and killed a suspect they say was brandishing a firearm, according to a recent news release.
Shortly before 4 p.m., officials from the San Bernardino County Auto Theft Task Force, in cooperation with the Beaumont Police Department, served a warrant in the 800 block of West 4th Street in Beaumont, near the indoor shooting range.
The group came across a suspect with a firearm, leading to at least one officer fatally shooting the person, according to the release.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene of what is an ongoing investigation, according to Beaumont Police. The suspect's name and information were not immediately released.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department remained the lead investigators on the auto theft case, for which the warrant was served, as of Thursday. No other information was immediately available.

The Riverside County District Attorney's Office and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department were investigating the officer-involved shooting.
