Armored Amphibious Troops on WB Interstate 10 in Beaumont

Troops in armored amphibious personnel carriers passed through Beaumont on Interstate 10 in a westbound convoy just before 1 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 13.

The convoy moved from the right hand slower lanes in west Banning to the far left lane in Beaumont to get on the 60 Freeway westbound, and they stopped for a break under shade trees at the Theodore exit on the west end of the Badlands.

Afternoon highs were in the low 90s as the troops passed through Beaumont, with soldiers in full combat gear showing their helmeted heads outside each of their armored vehicles.
