The average price is seven-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 5.6 cents higher than one month ago, data shows.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose four-tenths of a cent Friday to $3.236, one day after dropping three-tenths of a cent.

The average price is seven-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 5.6 cents higher than one month ago but 12.7 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

"Oil industry analysts say rain and unusually cold weather in California has depressed gasoline demand and at the same time we have seen an easing of supply worries caused by a Jan. 31 lightning strike-related power outage at the (Chevron) El Segundo refinery," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
