Banning Crash Takes Down Utility Lines, Prompts Closure
BREAKING: Motorists are urged to steer clear.
BANNING, CA — A crash in Banning on Wednesday afternoon prompted police to close a major thoroughfare in town for several hours. Ramsey Street was closed down due to the wreck, which involved a big rig and utility lines.
“Avoid Ramsey between Sunset and 22nd,” the city said on Facebook. “A big rig has taken down several non-city telecommunication lines. There are repair crews on scene working to fix the problem. The good news is that no one was hurt.“
Three of the wooden poles were snapped in half, while at least one other appeared unstable.
