Banning School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Banning is August 8. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Banning Unified School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

September

• 9/4: No School (Labor Day)

October

• 10/16: No School for Students (In-Service Day, Staff Development Day)

November

• 11/10: No School (Veterans' Day)

December

• 12/21: No School for Students (In-Service Day, Staff Development Day)
• 12/21 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/8: Classes Resume
• 1/15: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/19 - 2/23: No School (Presidents' Week Recess)

March

• 3/30: No School (Good Friday)

April

• 4/2 - 2/6: No School (Spring Break)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/31: Last Day of School

June

• 6/1: Last Teacher Workday, In-Service Day
