Beaumont Crash Leaves 1 Person Seriously Injured

Firefighters used hydraulic tools to free a victim from the wreckage, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department tweeted.

BEAUMONT, CA — One person suffered serious injuries Saturday evening after crashing a vehicle into a van parked on the shoulder of the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway in unincorporated Beaumont and overturning into a ditch.

The crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 9:04 p.m. on the eastbound Moreno Valley Freeway between Jack Rabbit Train and Potrero Boulevard.

A man told the CHP his Honda Odyssey van was hit by a vehicle while parked on the shoulder and the vehicle overturned in a ditch.

Firefighters used hydraulic tools to free one patient from the vehicle, Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department tweeted.

An officer originally reported the driver of the overturned vehicle had a head laceration but fire officials reported the patient was taken to a hospital by paramedics with serious injuries.
