Beaumont Unified 'Sails' Into New Year With New Mission
The theme for the year is "'Mind in Boat' One Team. One Mission. A Shared Commitment." based off a popular, motivational true story.
BEAUMONT, CA — The school year is officially underway in the Pass Area and students are getting back into the routine of school, homework, sports and more.
Beaumont Unified officials say there are now more than 10,600 students enrolled in the school district. For the 2019-2020 year, the district's team of teachers and staff are being encouraged to work on a common theme: "Mind in Boat" (MIB). One Team. One Mission. A Shared Commitment.
The theme of the year is inspired by the best-selling motivational book called "The Boys In The Boat," based on "nine Americans and their epic quest for gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics."
