BANNING, CA — The body of a man found in a ravine along Highway 243 in Banning was identified Thursday by the coroner as an Idyllwild resident.
Fred Robles, 45, was found dead Wednesday about .4 miles south of Wesley Street. His date, cause and manner of death are under investigation, according to the coroner.
There was no indication from authorities that foul play was immediately suspected.

The California Highway Patrol, which is investigating the incident, reported it located the deceased in an overturned vehicle that apparently crashed off the highway.
