Body Found Inside Burned Out Travel Trailer In Remote Desert Town

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA — Sheriff's deputies in San Bernardino County are continuing to investigate the grim discovery over the weekend of a body in a burned fifth-wheel travel trailer.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m. Sunday, first responders began to receive calls about a fire near Cuddeback and Wolfram roads, in the remote desert area of Red Mountain.
Red Mountain, formerly known as Osdick, is an unincorporated community, once a silver mine boom town.

Fire personnel arrived at the scene and found a fifth-wheel travel trailer engulfed in flames, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. Inside the trailer, "a deceased individual was located," the agency reported.
The sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division responded and assumed the investigation.

The victim's identity was not released.
