BANNING, CA — A brush fire has burned 50 acres Monday in Banning, and crews are working to slow its spread, authorities said.

The blaze was reported just after 3 p.m. at Sunset and W. Westward avenues near the eastbound side of Interstate 10.

"Additional resources requested and responding," Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said via social media.
