Brush Fire Burns In Banning

BANNING, CA — A brush fire has burned 50 acres Monday in Banning, and crews are working to slow its spread, authorities said.

The blaze was reported just after 3 p.m. at Sunset and W. Westward avenues near the eastbound side of Interstate 10.

"Additional resources requested and responding," Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said via social media.

There are no immediate reports of injuries due to the blaze dubbed the Sunset Fire.

There was no word on what caused the fire.
