Brush Fire Reported On Interstate 10 Near Cabazon
BREAKING: The incident was causing some traffic delays on Monday afternoon.

WHITEWATER, CA — A small brush fire on Monday afternoon caused some traffic delays along Interstate 10, but fire officials say they managed to keep the blaze from spreading far.
The fire was first reported at 12:03 p.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway, in the center divider, according to preliminary California Highway Patrol and fire reports.
Fire officials tell Patch that a total of seven engines were sent to the scene, along with a water tender. As of 12:45 p.m., crews had contained the fire, but were expected to remain at the scene for approximately one more hour.

The fire was estimated to be just about 20 feet by 200 feet.
