Child Porn Victims Sought In IE Investigation Of San Diego County Man: SBCSD

The accused is also suspected in a similar case out of Utah, according to law enforcement.

INLAND EMPIRE, CA — A San Diego County man was arrested by Inland Empire law enforcement on suspicion of distributing child pornography, and authorities announced over the weekend that they believe there are still some unidentified victims.

Daniel Joseph Bondietti, 37, of Carlsbad was arrested Sept. 3 by San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies stationed out of Fontana. Bondietti was taken into custody at his home in the 3400 block of Camino Largo and transported to San Bernardino County's West Valley Jail in Rancho Cucamonga. He was booked on suspicion of child pornography possession.

Bondietti remained jailed Monday afternoon. Jail records show he also had an outstanding felony arrest warrant stemming from a similar alleged violation in Utah.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Bondietti came to the attention of detectives at the Fontana Sheriff's Station following an alert from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

"The alert indicated potential distribution of child pornography on social media. Detectives evaluated the suspected material and confirmed it was sexually explicit in nature and involved juveniles," according to the sheriff's department.

During the investigation, detectives seized electronic devices, and they learned Bondietti was a suspect in an unrelated child pornography case in Utah. Charges have been filed against him in that state, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators believe there may be more victims who remain unidentified.
