RivCo Woman Arrested: Allegedly Let Kids Smoke Weed On Video

COACHELLA VALLEY, CA -- After a video that circulated on social media led to police being notified, a local woman has been arrested on charges of letting children smoke marijuana.

The Desert Hot Springs Police Department says that on July 10, it received several messages from concerned citizens regarding a video circulating on social media. Detectives took over the investigation and on July 17, and served a search warrant in the 66600 block of Third St, Desert Hot Springs.

Elaina Kabler, 36 of Desert Hot Springs, was arrested for three counts of supplying marijuana to a child under 12 as well as three counts of child endangerment. She was booked into RSO Banning Jail and as of Monday, was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Video obtained by KESQ in Palm Springs shows a child lighting up and smoking from a pipe that appears to have marijuana in it.

Kabler is scheduled to appear in court July 30.
