Coroner Confirms ID of Body Found Near Beaumont As Missing Man
The Riverside County Coroner's Bureau shared the identity of a body found over the weekend.

CABAZON, CA — A body found over the weekend has been confirmed as that of a 42-year-old Cherry Valley man who was reported missing earlier this month in Cabazon, authorities said Wednesday.
Benjamin Cole was last seen July 9 at his home in the 51000 block of Ida Avenue, near Peach Street, on the southern edge of the unincorporated community, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. One week ago, a major push to find Cole began, according to residents.
A large on-foot and search team assembled, as residents and officials scoured the landscape in search of Cole.

Around 12:30 p.m. Saturday, a sheriff's search-and-rescue team located the body.
The sheriff's department a "deceased subject matching the description of Benjamin Cole" a half- mile southeast, at the end of Elm Street, Lt. Deirdre Vickers said.
The circumstances of his death were not immediately available, and the investigation into his disappearance is ongoing.
