Coroner IDs Pedestrian Killed In Desert Hot Springs
The crash was reported at approximately 5 a.m. Monday in the Palm Drive area, south of Varner Road, according to police.
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — A woman who was struck and killed Monday morning by a motorist in Desert Hot Springs was identified by the coroner as a Yucca Valley resident.
Elizabeth Wright, 45, died at the scene of the crash that was reported at approximately 5 a.m. in the Palm Drive area, south of Varner Road, according to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department.
According to the agency, the call was a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision. Preliminary information indicated that Wright was in the roadway at the time of the crash.

Life-saving measures at the scene were unsuccessful.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, police said. No arrests were announced.
