Crash Partially Closes Eastbound I-10 Near Whitewater

WHITEWATER, CA — An overturned trailer Monday afternoon has partially closed eastbound Interstate 10 near Whitewater, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was first reported shortly before 2 p.m. near mile marker 21, according to the agency.

Crash details were not immediately available, but the CHP said a trailer was on its side, and the #3 and #4 lanes were closed until about 5 p.m.

A SigAlert was issued at 2:08 p.m. and traffic is backed up in the area.

There was no word on injuries.
