Crash Shuts Down Ramona Expressway, Traps Victims In Wreckage

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon on the Ramona Expressway near Lakeview trapped victims and traffic was temporarily shut down in the area.

The wreck was reported at about 4:15 p.m. at 6th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol's CAD system.

Two people were injured in the crash and the CHP closed all traffic lanes, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

"Firefighters performed minor extrication and two patients were transported to area hospitals, both with moderate injuries," the fire department reported.
