Deadly Reche Canyon Crash Being Investigated As A Homicide
Police say while it was originally thought to be a traffic accident, it turns out the deadly incident "was a result of an intentional act."

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Sheriff's officials are investigating a deadly crash that happened in Reche Canyon this week. Deputies say a person was hit and killed by a vehicle and left for dead — all on purpose.
According to sheriff's Dep. Robyn Flores, the incident happened around 2 a.m. Monday in the 7800 block of Reche Canyon Road. The California Highway Patrol was the first to respond to the scene, but they called the sheriff's department out for an "assault with a deadly weapon call" about two hours later after determining the incident was not an accident.
"CHP’s investigation revealed the incident was a result of an intentional act, which resulted in the victim being struck by the suspect vehicle," Flores said. "The victim was transported to an area hospital and was pronounced deceased."
