Driver Injured In I-215 Hit-and-Run

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A motorist was hurt Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash on the Moreno Valley (215) Freeway in Riverside.

The crash was reported about 8 a.m. on the northbound I-215 south of Martin Luther King Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The affected vehicle temporarily blocked the middle lanes, causing traffic to back up, before moving to the shoulder, the CHP reported.

The extent of the motorist's injuries and whether the driver required hospitalization was unclear, and there was no immediate word on whether authorities tracked down the other vehicle.
