Ducklings Rescued From The 91: Police
An officer picked up four ducklings and released them at a nearby park, according to police.
RIVERSIDE, CA — Several ducklings were rescued Sunday from the Riverside Freeway, according to police.
Shortly before 9 a.m., California Highway Patrol received a call about a yellow duck and five ducklings in the center divider of State Route 91 at Mission Inn Avenue in Riverside, according to police.
An officer responded and picked up four ducklings about an hour later, releasing them at nearby Fairmount Park, according to police, who had no details about the whereabouts of the fifth duckling or the yellow duck.

Around the same time the ducks were relocated the freeway was closed for 10 minutes in both directions while electrical lines were moved, police said.
