DUI Woman Crashes Truck Into Beaumont Home's Kitchen: Police
One woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI following the crash.

BEAUMONT, CA — A woman accused of driving drunk crashed a pickup truck into a Beaumont house early Saturday, the police department reports.
Firefighters and police responded to the 1200 block of East Eighth Street at 4:30 a.m. and located the truck wedged in the building.
"The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado was located partially inside the residence's kitchen and a strong odor of natural gas was present," police said. "The homeowner had evacuated the residence prior to officers arrival and was not injured."

Crystal Marie Hernandez, 33, was still in the driver's seat of the truck when police got to the scene. She was arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to the Banning jail. Records show she posted $5,000 bail and was out of custody by Saturday afternoon.
The building sustained major damage and gas and power to the structure was shut off. It was deemed uninhabitable.

It was not immediately clear how many people were displaced as a result of the incident.
