Early Morning Semi, Truck Crash Partially Closes 10 Freeway
A rental truck and a tractor-trailer collided on the 10 Freeway early Friday morning, resulting in a diesel fuel spill and lane closures.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA -- The 10 Freeway in Beaumont was partially closed Friday morning after an early morning crash between a big rig and rental truck resulted in diesel fuel leaking from the site.
No injuries were reported in the collision, but the number three lane was temporarily closed due to the fuel leak, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At 6:20 a.m., a Budget rental truck collided with the tractor-trailer on the eastbound 10 Freeway a quarter-mile west of Oak Valley Parkway, the CHP said.

A SigAlert was issued for the area a couple of hours later.
Officials from the Department of Fish and Wildlife, as well as the Center for Environmental Health, were notified of the leak.

As of mid-day on Friday, it is still unclear how long the lane closure was expected to last.
