BANNING, CA — A magnitude-3.3 earthquake shook park of Riverside County on Monday night. The temblor struck about 3 miles northeast of Banning at 9:34 p.m., the U.S. Geological Survey reports.

According to the U.S.G.S., the exact location of the quake was:

  • 3.1 mi NW of Cabazon
  • 3.7 mi NE of Banning
  • 8.7 mi ENE of Beaumont
  • 13 mi E of Calimesa
  • 19.3 mi WNW of Palm Springs
