The Edgar Allen Poe Speakeasy Returns To RivCo This Weekend

Sip on themed cocktails while you hear Poe's dark, imaginative poetry brought to life.

RIVERSIDE, CA — The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy is opening once again in Riverside this weekend.

Thursday, July 31, through Saturday, Aug. 2, tickets are available for the Chapter Two experience, a 90-minute interactive show that includes four complementary cocktails.

Organizers note that attendees do not have to have experienced Chapter One to enjoy this second installment.

Beginning Thursday, guests will hear Poe historians bring four of the famed poet's stories to life, allowing the audience to explore the mysterious worlds of Edgar Allan Poe once again in Riverside. Stories that will be read include "The Cask of Amontillado", "Annabel Lee", "The Pit and the Pendulum", and "The Fall of the House of Usher".

The second part of the speakeasy is popping up at Loft 84 Wedding and Event Venue in Riverside, which will be transformed by dim lanterns, flickering candles and haunting decor.
