Fatal Motorcycle Crash Leads To Lengthy Beaumont Street Closures

Details are unfolding about an early morning crash on Wednesday that claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

BEAUMONT, CA — An unidentified motorcyclist has died in a single-vehicle crash in Beaumont on Wednesday morning, the Riverside County sheriff's Cabazon station alerted the public.

Details of the collision were still unfolding, and the identity of the motorcyclist was withheld pending notification of next of kin, according to Sgt. Roman Lugo.

Shortly before 7 a.m., Cabazon Sheriff’s Station deputies arrived at the major injury traffic collision near Cherry Valley Boulevard and Roberts Street, Cherry Valley.

"Deputies arrived at the scene and learned that the rider had succumbed to their injuries as a result of the collision," Lugo said.

The San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station’s Traffic Team responded and assumed the investigation.

Westbound traffic on Cherry Valley Boulevard at Calimesa Boulevard was closed for an undetermined period of time, and eastbound traffic on Cherry Valley Boulevard at Roberts Street will be closed, they said.

Cherry Valley Boulevard was reopened by 11 a.m.

"The identity of the motorcyclist is being withheld pending notification to the next of kin. This is an ongoing investigation, and no additional details are available at this time," Lugo said.
