3 Displaced In Moreno Valley Apartment Building Fire

A two-alarm fire forced the evacuation of several units at an apartment building in Moreno Valley Saturday.

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A fire that broke out at an apartment building in Moreno Valley today displaced three people and damaged two units, fire officials said.

The blaze was reported at 1:54 p.m. at the Sienna Pointe Apartments in the 23000 block of Bay Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Riverside County sheriff's deputies evacuated several units adjacent to the one where the fire broke out while firefighters doused the flames.

Southern California Edison and SoCal Gas crews were also summoned to the scene.

The fire was contained at 2:35 p.m. and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
