Riverside Transit Agency Offering Free Rides On New Year’s Eve

The free rides will begin after 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2025.

The following advisory was issued on Dec. 30, 2025, by the Riverside Transit Agency:

WHAT: To help the community ring in the New Year safely, Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) will offer free rides on all local, CommuterLink and GoMicro buses after 2:30 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. For trip planning assistance, visit RiversideTransit.com.

WHY: The free ride promotion supports community safety by helping reduce impaired driving and providing residents with a dependable and easy way to get to and from New Year’s Eve events. In California, 2,247 people died in alcohol-impaired traffic crashes in 2023, according to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration. This annual campaign reflects RTA’s commitment to public safety, mobility access and community support.

WHEN: Wednesday, December 31, 2025 - after 2:30 p.m. until end of service

WHERE: All RTA local, CommuterLink and GoMicro buses will run their regular weekday schedule across western Riverside County.
