Firefighters Prevent Beaumont Blaze From Spreading To Homes
The fire broke out Tuesday afternoon.
BEAUMONT, CA — The quick action of Pass Area firefighters helped prevent homes from catching fire on Tuesday afternoon after a blaze broke out in a local neighborhood. The fire was first reported at 12:31 p.m. in the backyard of a home on Targa Lane, near South Palm Avenue.
A total of four engines and a medic squad were sent to the fire, which ultimately burned part of a shed, some vegetation and part of a fence, according to crews at the scene.
Beaumont police said some evacuations were briefly called on Targa Lane, Kobe Street and South Palm Avenue. However, the fire was contained by 1:15 p.m. and those were lifted as fire crews started to clear the scene.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
